lyrics

Wondergrrrl wanted to live in a free world. Wondergrrrl had to believe in something better. Wondergrrrl took off her bracelet and put it in a box. Wondergrrrl put on a bow tie, then took it off.

She wanted to fly, but the cape was so very heavy. She said, “Should I escape? or fight, though I don’t quite feel ready? My name is Pearl… My name is…”

Wondergrrrl wanted to catch up to her sisters. Wondergrrrl wanted to prove that she was as good as any brother who’d gone before. Wondergrrrl took off her mask and wished she could show the world. Wondergrrrl wished for more wisdom, power, prowess and panache.

She wanted to fly, but the cape was so very heavy. She said, “Should I escape? or fight, though I don’t quite feel ready? My name is Pearl… My name is…”

“I would be as wise as the ocean, I would be as strong as the moon – if I could live up to my name. My name is Pearl. Is Pearl my name? To save the world, I’m Wondergrrrl, but my name’s Pearl, or is my name Wondergrrrl?

I want to fly, but this cape is so very heavy. Should I make my escape now, or fight? Yeah, I think I might be ready. My name is Pearl… But my real name is Wondergrrrrl.”

Stories are honest lies.

This is art.
Art is in the eye of the beholder.

∴ April Fish are artistic liars. The cheeky blighters.
